Die Kartons
Das Album enthält 81 Kartons mit 96 Abzügen französischer Architekturfotografien.
Die Kartons haben sehr unterschiedliche Dicke und sind später zu dem Album gebunden worden. Dabei wurden sie etwas beschnitten, um das gleiche Format 600 x 437 mm zu erhalten.

Les cartons
L'album contient 81 cartons avec 96 épreuves photographiques des Monuments de France.
Les cartons sont d'une épaisseur très variée et ont été reliés plus tard en album. A cette occasion ils ont étéroganés pour obtenir un format identique de 600 x 437 mm.

The mounts
The album contains 81 mounts with 96 prints from photographs of french architecture.
The mounts are of very different thickness and were bound to the album later on.
At that instance they were cut to obtain the uniform format of 600 x 437 mm.

Die Fotografen
Fast alle großformatigen Bilder tragen eine Signatur auf dem Karton.
56 stammen von E. Baldus, 7 von den Brüdern Bisson. 3 sind anonym.
Alle 30 kleinformatigen Bilder sind anonym, passen jedoch gut in die Systematik der Liste von E. Baldus (vgl. Daniel, p. 232). Bislang gibt es keine Zuschreibung des Fotos vom Straßburger Münster (Nr. 64).

Les photographes
Presque tous les grands formats portent une signature sur le carton.
56 proviennent de E. Baldus, 7 des Frères Bisson et 3 sont anonymes.
Les 30 vues en petit format sont anonymes, mais se trouvent cependant dans la Catalogue Raisonné (voire. Daniel, p. 232). Il n'y a pas encore une attribution de la vue de la cathédrale de Strasbourg (No 64).

The photographers
Almost all of the photographs are signated. 56 are made by E. Baldus, 7 by Bisson Frères, 3 are anonymous.
All the 30 small-format pictures are anonymous but fit well in the Baldus list (cf. Daniel, p. 232).
Until now there is no attribution of the Strasbourg cathedral print (Nr. 64).

Die Beschreibung dieser Fotosammlung dient der weiteren Erforschung des Werks von E. Baldus und der Bisson Frères.
Die Bilder dienen als Vergleichsmaterial (hoffentlich reicht die Auflösung!). Gleichzeitig hoffe ich auf Kontakte zu anderen Sammlern.
